FTTC - 15 NBG-417N Routers for testing

Hi guys,
Zyxel have kindly sent us some NBG-417N routers for testing, if you'd like to give one a trial please reply back and I'll get the sent out (chances are they won't arrive before Christmas).

Re: FTTC - 15 NBG-417N Routers for testing

Hi Dave,
I'll give one of the Zyxel routers a go... Smiley  Will be interesting to compare against how the netgear one is - finding the wireless range a bit weak on the netgear tbh...
Cheers,
James

Re: FTTC - 15 NBG-417N Routers for testing

Hi Dave,
I'm currently using a Zyxel NBG334W which for some reason is being fairly unreliable (occasionally just re-boots) so wouldn't mind trying one.
FYI I'm using it in "bridge" mode to "expose" my public IPs on the LAN side, then use extra firewall/NAT for PCs etc.
Thanks
Richard

Re: FTTC - 15 NBG-417N Routers for testing

I'd certainly like to give one a go, I've found  the speedtouch a bit (replaces previously censored word with "POOR") on wireless, and a bit inconsistent in allowing things to connect to it.
umm do you need my plusnet username ?

Ian

Hi Dave,
I'll give one a go; having all sorts of problems with the Belkin card in my work laptop connecting to the Netgear at the moment.
Thanks,

I'd like to try one please. The Netgear N seems to have worse coverage than my old Netgear G.

Re: FTTC - 15 NBG-417N Routers for testing

Hi Dave,
I'd like to trial one if possible.
I'm having issues with Windows 7 and the Netgear router, it randomly drops the wireless connection and I have to keep manually reestablishing it.
Many thanks,
P.S. my plusnet account is smellycat

Re: FTTC - 15 NBG-417N Routers for testing

Hi,
I'd be interested in trying one although I am not due to be FTTC installed until 30/12. Plus.net have just sent the Netgear but I'd still like to try this one as well.
Cheers,
Si.

Re: FTTC - 15 NBG-417N Routers for testing

wow that was quick delivery, although i would rather have had all my xmas present that seem to stuck somewhere ...
gave a quick try and on my setup seemed to work as well as the netgear, same 26mbs over the wireless link
not tried peer to peer on the lan to see how the max rate goes as i read these aren't great on wireless
