@bmc Agreed. Someone here is playing silly beggars, and I don't think it is the OP.

Re: Confused why Full Fibre is not available to me.

But who is playing 'silly beggars'? What if there is a serious mismatch that can't be easily identified without local knowledge, resulting in 'the computer says no' response?

I find that taking a pro-active approach and trying to find the cause of a problem, and then passing the information back, can be more effective then throwing tantrums and demanding a solution.

@Baldrick1 That is a good question, but if the property already has a service, it should be on the OR database - or am I missing something blindingly obvious?

Running an ORDI check may solve the problem or rule out a simple database error. Either way, it's worth doing.

Re: Confused why Full Fibre is not available to me.

@jab1

In the case that I sorted there were two entries in the https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/ database. The one recorded by looking up the address on the broadband bill, which I noted did not include a UPRN. It therefore did not appear in Ordance Survey records, i.e. it was a phantom property.  The second entry that I found had a UPRN that matched the location shown on the OS map and showed full fibre to be available.

That is why I asked the OP earlier about the form of the property address as this can happen when fill in properties are built in a road.

Re: Confused why Full Fibre is not available to me.

I kind of get what you are saying there, @Baldrick1 . If  I put my house number and postcode into the Address Checker, it comes up with two entries.  One  which has four identifiers, including the UPRN, but is factually incorrect for the address, and one which has two identifiers, NOT including the UPRN, but is factually correct for the address.

No wonder OR is such a total foul-up.

Re: Confused why Full Fibre is not available to me.

@jab1

Why blame OR? Openreach provide Full Fibre to a physical property, identified by the OS UPRN, not the postal address. Why is it their fault if this does not match the postal address? What does the Address Finder, not the BT Address Checker, who I understand get their information from OS and the local council authority have to say about your address?

Either way, thank you for confirming that this wasn’t a one off incident, so could well be the @T1m0thy‘s problem. If so, local knowledge could be vital in identifying the multiple entries.

@Gandalf

Am I correct that data integrity is part of your portfolio?

They couldn't or wouldn't?

It is known that there is (or was) an ALBERT process for this scenario - FTTP is available to order at neighbouring properties but not the odd one or two in the middle.  Is there a specific reference for this check please?  Reference has been made to ORDI updates, but AIUI those are for an exiting supplier to correct data on the in-use assets.  This requires a "difficulty to order database check" inspection.

Is the CSA advice flawed or has the process we allude to been withdrawn?

Re: Confused why Full Fibre is not available to me.

That is the strange thing with my address, @Baldrick1 , the UPRN link gives my correct address 'x, yyyyyyy zzzz Cottages', but the address according to Royal Mail has it as x y z Cottage, i.e. without the 's' on the end.

It is annoying, to be polite, as different organisations seem to use different databases.

Wonder who gave the incorrect address for the postcode records?

@jab1

That should be an easy one for an ORDI check to pick up. In my case, the house name was correct but the road name and post code were both different. This is not so easy without local knowledge. Much of the village has house names, I know of several 'Sycamore House' properties in different streets with different post codes. They all exist!

Re: Confused why Full Fibre is not available to me.

I don't think ORDI would help here as there doesn't look to be a record issue. It's more than likely that there's a capacity issue now. I second this suggestion to double check if this is the case:
