Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

Just to note, i applied on Friday, but in my request, i said i'm happy to test routers.
If your short as such, dont worry too much about sending me a test router, as the router i use at home is the Cisco WRT610N, not the Netgear WNR1000......
so would only need a router if you needed feedback results..  Smiley

Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

Follow up to some previous posts.
My trial has been ordered for completion 'today' and the BT speedtester has now started to work after a 2 week 'Test Error' condition. Hope it works after the trial switches on! althgough the speed results were garbage - showing 4M down when its 34 -35 at the moment Sad
Also I note the MybroadBandSpeed.co.uk is completely erratic as well.
Some work needs to be done on the testers to make sense of comparisons as I imagine hundreds of folk are spending their days running tests Smiley

I tried the default server then Leeds which is the nearest to me.

Leeds is NOT the nearest server to you. Your connection goes via London.

Did anything come from your telephone call with BT regarding the 40/10 cap that me and someone else is experiencing?

Yes and no, yes they are looking at it, no that they don't actually know what, if anything, is wrong yet. We've got 2 examples though.

Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

Hi,
Not sure I've done this correctly, my exchange has only just been FTTC enaled and I have requested to go on the 80/40 trial directly through ticket 52545745 3 days ago but without going through any other upgrade procedure.
I have been having major problems with ADSL+2 and still have an open fault ticket 50338539 and have received a reply on that ticket to say that I'm OK requesting FTTC the way I have done it, but as I have not received any confirmation from the FTTC team I was just wondering.
Dave.

Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

halster65,
I can't speak from personal experience (I'm still waiting for the email, with my fingers crossed that it might come today...) but others on this forum generally report that the activation goes through overnight from the date the order is placed.  So, if you've had the email today, you can probably expect it to be live in the morning...

Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

Hi all,
The upgrade orders for 80/20 do go through on the next working day after we place them, Dave.G6HNI I can see there is another ticket in the trials pool so that will be picked up by us ASAP.
Right, I'm off to work through some of those tickets now Smiley

Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

Well my IP Profile is still at 57.03. Will this ever change ?
And just running a few speed tests at several sites I'm seeing between 16 and 30 at best download.
It was 54mbps down 2 nights ago.
So what on earth is going on ? This is worse than before i went on the trial now !  Angry

Really Interested in registering for this trial, but would it mean I have to give up my Plusnet Pro add on?

I'd guess not, if you haven't received an email/text.  I haven't either, and I signed up on Thursday afternoon.  Maybe tomorrow...
