At any given moment in the universe many things happen. Coincidence is a matter of how close these events are in space, time and relationship.

Quote from: _Adam_Walker_ @Julie - You didn't ask but thought I'd check and your profile was back to 40mb so I've changed that again.
Adam
Thanks Adam, I appreciate it

Quote from: _Adam_Walker_ I've noticed a few of you have been rebooting after not seeing a change in speed following me changing your profile, to clarify IF the speed doesn't change you'd be better off logging into the modem and performing a soft disconnect, then a reconnect instead of powercycling it.
I think you mean router rather than modem? With the ZyXEL I do a soft restart - can't find a disconnect/connect option.

If there is a special hammer for rebooting equipment please let me know. I'll add it to my WD40 and duct tape ensemble.

The code has been written, reviewed and tested on our staging platform. However due to it being Friday, we don't want to roll this out right before a weekend, so the plan is to roll the fix early next week. We'll post back when we have more info on this.

Can you reset my profile also. I'm stuck on 40mb again.
Thanks

Not quite sure what you mean by..
"You perhaps should of ran a BT availability test before moving to 80/20. I would imagine this would of shown the low speed attainable."
Having been on FTTC 40/2 for 15 mths and after the replacement VDSL modem, the line sync has been stable at 39999 for months.
The BT availability tester is so low geared it stated and always has 24 - 25 is about my FTTC limit. So, knowing I had full sync at 40 and a total lack of stats access (after I joined the trial 3 mths ago, I bought my own modem and 'leaned on it' to have ftp acces) I assumed something 'great' was about to happen
From my stats I can clearly seen my max attainable rate is about 43 and having worked in telecomms for 35 years I wouldn't have bothered joining the trial but hey, 'hindsight' is a great attribute
I was naive to believe the 80/20 was a new form of line modulation, again with hindsight if it was obvious it was a simple 'take the cap limits' off I wouldn't have bothered.
I would suggest that the marketing of the final product should make this abundantly clear and perhaps only offer it to folk who have the headroom to benefit.
Regards,
Pete

Indeed, this aspect seems to have caused a lot of confusion - the "new form of line modulation" had already happened with the change from the 8c to 17a profile, which pre-dated the launch of 80/20 and was why peoples attainable speeds on the 40/n products increased last year.
