Good news for those on ADSL2+ but not so good at the moment for 80Mb FTTC, how are we supposed to cope with sub-40 Mb speeds?

Its a trial Smiley We'll  keep doing our best to correct profiles in the meantime until the root cause is fixed though.

I'm not getting delta reports and if not should I be worried?

Nope it doesn't mean DR's aren't being generated for your line, don't forget that the nature of this issue means that not all of you will be affected.

FYI @jamesanstee and @Estragon I've changed both of your profiles back to 20mb. I'll keep an eye out for posts from anyone else today.

Exactly! Worse comes to worse, we connect at 40/10, which is what anyone should normally expect on PN fibre.
Feedback
1) When does PN expect to release an 80/20 product? The reason I ask is that a friend has choosen BT as their fibre provider just because BT advertised and offered an 80/20 product. Surely PN are loosing potential custom?
2) I've only been on the trial less than a week but the 120GB usage cap is restricting to say the least on 80/20. A couple of speedtest's easily burns 1GB.

As mine has stayed at 20Mb throughout this episode, does that mean I'm not getting delta reports and if not should I be worried?
If receiving (or whatever the terminology is) a delta report means I go back to a 40Mb profile then I'll do without them thank you very much.

A delta report is generated by BT Wholesale when your connection speed changes, hence your IP Profile. Why some people are getting a profile change when they haven't re-sync'ed I don't know at the moment.

Or why some people's speed doesn't drop when they do re-sync, which I have done once or twice over the last week or so (my reasons, not theirs).

Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

Hi All
I have seen a significant slow down recently and noticed this thread.  I have checked and my IP profile is showing 40MB and I understand it should be 20MB.
Any chance someone could take a look at it for me?  I will raise a ticket too.
Thanks
Tony

As I've eluded to before we're unable to state that at present. I'll let you know as soon as we have some information about that for you.

@conorandlucy and willm888 - your profiles have been changed to 20000 as requested, hope that sorts things.
@Dav0 and geoff05 - yours had already been changed to 20000 when I came to have a look.
Hope that helps, cheers.

Matt,
Just to say thanks for making the change and all is back to normal again! Smiley

Hi My profile has also reverted back to 40Mbps, I've raised ticket 57723306.  Could you reset back to the unlimited profile?
Thanks

Ah if only it was that easy! The linerate script runs multiple times a day so will just reset it back even we could do that.
