Like many of you I don't think I will be paying extra when the 80/20 package goes live as, although I only live about 0.25/0.50 miles from the cabinet the max line speed is 59.72mbps. Although the upload speeds have been stable at just over 10mbps, for the likely extra cost I would be wanting to see @70 download and 15 upload...
Anyway, at least the issue seems to have been resolved so well done PN.

Wouldn't mind the extra upload speed though

People are assuming we're going to charge more for 80/20. Whilst I'm not ruling that out at this stage, it might not necessarily end up being the case.

I've been on the 80/20 trial for around a week now and am experiencing very unstable line speeds as you can view from the URL below.
Prior to this my up / down speeds were very stable 1.6 / 35...........Question #53788215 refers.
Can you confirm if there is anymore you can do / or is this as good as it gets ?
Thanks - David.

- You're connecting wirelessly, and
- If you swapped the Netgear router out for the Zyxel?

I am on a wired connection and using the ZyXel trial router. Was also getting solid reliable speeds of 37 Mbit + prior to the trial with the Netgear router

In reply to your question
All my speedtests are from a directly connected desktop PC
..and no, still using the Plusnet supplied Netgear router and not the Zyxel?
Don't you agree it's odd that the fluctuation for most folks seems to be on the download speeds with upload being increased and remaining stable ?

I'm on a twenty quid Buffalo WHR-G300n and it's rock solid 74 down, 17 up. I know I should have either the Netgear or the Zyxel but if it ain't broke and all that.
All hard wired BTW.
Gerry.

Looks like we can rule the Zyxel out as the cause then.
