Re: FTTC - Download speed issues

In my experience speedtest.net gives quite varied results to other tests. It always gives a higher download and lower upload.
For diagnostics BT.speedtester is the best as BT can see the results themselves.
My line has been affected for two weeks now and BT are looking into it. It's new technology so is going to take longer to fix. That's why it is a trial.

so profile has dropped to around 5mb, however there is a marled differencr between bt speedtest and my actual download speed, so is this a problem with the plus net network, cant see it being an issue with capacity on a sunday morning, plus I am the only one on FTTC in the cabinet, anyways  -  I take it Dave is back Monday.
Now back up to this

Re: FTTC - Download speed issues

The ticket that you reference (35277739) is actually a call record from one of my colleagues, please raise this at http://faults.plus.net and the ticket will be sent through to the guys working FTTC faults.

Re: FTTC - Download speed issues

Thanks for that, but we really do need more detail from the fault checker. What difficulty are you experiencing when raising the fault ticket?

Re: FTTC - Download speed issues

Would you be able to report this by completing the fault checker at http://faults.plus.net please? That gives us a lot more information and allows us to use automated fault reporting tools which make the investigation of your fault go much quicker.

Re : Fault Ticket 35199427
I keep getting the following BT service fault (see below) when using the internet. Can't load any web pages for a while then it all comes back again only to disappear again a while later.
Is this a separate fault that should be logged or perhaps something BT is doing to test my initial problem? The PN fault process requests that tickets are not updated unless essential so I don't want to interfere with the process.
