Re: Unlimited Fibre Extra – no speed increase…

Thanks for the info @Optimatts

I've tried the troubleshooting and tried the steps and suggestions nothing helped unfortunately.

The Cabinet i'm served by is a short distance to me and I'm using the master socket in my property so I'm struggling to believe this is the maximum down speed possible and the upload speed is significantly lower than the projected wholesale speed.

Is there anything further that can be done to investigate?

Re: Unlimited Fibre Extra – no speed increase…

Thanks for getting back to us @Jammib,

You are currently syncing at 50.6 Mbps which is within your estimates, albeit the lower end. At this point we wouldn't go into further diagnostics as you are within the estimates for you line. I would suggest plugging into the master socket and using Ethernet cables where possible as these will provide you with the most stable connection. If you do fall below these estimates, please get back in touch so we can investigate further.

Thank you.

Re: Unlimited Fibre Extra – no speed increase…

Hi

After a visit from the engineer yesterday I have been monitoring my speed.

It shows a very modest increase, as you can see

Is this going to be my maximun speed? If so, it's not very impressive.

Can you please investigate and advise.

George

Re: Unlimited Fibre Extra – no speed increase…

My speed is still stuck in the 30's - is there any more that you can do?

Re: Unlimited Fibre Extra – no speed increase…

New router received and installed 2 days ago - just ran a speed test - still the same Sad

Is there any more that can be done because frankly, I notice no difference to what I was getting before?

Thanks for your help

George

Hi @george356

So - you are syncing at 48.8Mbps ;

as you can see, the profile is set to 0.128-19M and therefore banded, not allowing your full estimated range of 42-61.6Mbps (as per dsl checker

Even thought its only very slightly below, your sync speed isn't hitting the top of the band, meaning something could be preventing this from happening. I've not found any faults on your circuit which could be causing this to happen, so we need to ask you a few things prior to moving forward.

Are you currently set into your Test Socket? If not, please can you do this and let us know so we can retest - how to locate your test socket can be found here

Kind Regards,
