Re: FTTC, when can one order?

I have been patiently waiting for Outreach to fit a fibre cabinet to my area - which is a relatively new estate. There are fibre cabinets fairly close on the nearby main road.
But I was just looking around for other deal, and found that the BT website said I could get fibre and up to 300Mb ! presumably with FTTP?.
So I again checked on the PN website and got confusing results. So I phone the helpline and they advised raising a ticket which I have done ( #114986569 )
I've been waiting two days for a reply - maybe Plusnet don't want my business and I should move to BT !

WBC FTTP or FTTPoD?
Plusnet only do WBC FTTP.

Re: FTTC, when can one order?

FTTP - I certainly don't need 300M ! - I'm currently on 2M max so can't realistically use any of the online TV services. 38 M FTTP would be fine for us

Re: FTTC, when can one order?

@mal08
You need to check at https://www.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/adsl.htm?s_cid=btw_furl_adslchecker_applications_diagnosti... and the first line of the results will say "WBC FTTP" if your property can get FTTP.
Ignore anything that say "FTTP on Demand" in the section called "Other Offerings" as Plusnet cannot supply that product and nobody is even sure if the product can be purchased as BT Wholesale put it on hold earlier this year.
If you can get FTTP then you can either go to BT Retail to sign up on-line or you can ask Plusnet  via this URL http://trials.plus.net and select FTTP trial.
With Plusnet, the 2 contacted speeds available are 40Mbps down / 2Mbps upload or 80Mbps down /20Mbps upload. The price is the same as Plusnet's FTTC options.
BT Retail do 4 speeds, details given on their website,

Re: FTTC, when can one order?

Thanks George,
I've done what you said - and its says:
WBC FTTP Up to 330 Up to 30 -- Available
As I said - I have already raised a ticket with PN about 4 days ago - and still waiting for their reply !!
I;m hoping someone from PN reads this and responds

@mel09
Sorry I missed that bit, just want to be sure that you were on course as some people get confused about the FTTP offerings at Plusnet. The trial aspect of it gets in the way of new signings.
Hope Plusnet customer support do pick this up for you and progress your request.  Smiley
