remove username from hostname

I've seen a few posts also raising this issue. I would like my username to be removed from my hostname (I just setup a static ip address with plusnet).

seems to be set to. [username].plus.com, please anonymise it.

I assume it set that way for companies

I saw this post and a few others where a ticket has  to be raised for the NetOps teams to fix. I assume only customer support can riase these tickets

They can, @Baldrick1  merely moved the topic to the correct board, where it will have better visibility.
