Tv connection

I recently moved house and had Plusnet full fibre installed. Everything is working fine except the Wi-Fi connection to the tv. I can’t get iPlayer, Netflix etc. This message comes up: No network cable detected. To connect to your wired network, insert a network cable into the tv.
I have no idea what they mean!

Re: Tv connection

@Frang How do receive your TV feed - direct from an ariel, or via a set-top box of some variety?

Re: Tv connection

Connect an ethernet cable between the TV and the router.

Re: Tv connection

Or set up a wireless connection - I assume most modern TVs have that option in their settings somewhere?

The router and tv are in different rooms though.

An  aerial  is something you mount on the roof -

Very funny, @outcast  - maybe.

Sorry @Frang  - how do you receive your TV feed - direct from an aerial or via a set top box?

Re: Tv connection

A Samsung - OK, but what exact model, so I can find the manual?

How did you have it set up previously?

Re: Tv connection

Thanks, @outcast - you have probably stopped a couple more hairs going grey.

This topic is now all yours - if the OP needs more assistance.

@jab1  Did you know  ariel  is gentle on colours and stops natural fibres fading to grey ?  🤣
