Presumed scam email

I got this email today.
As a result I logged in via the official Plus Net portal, not the link in the email, which points to some rather shonky website.

(purporting to be from) From Plusnet Customer Help Team no.26250150 <<redacted @<redacted>.plus.com>
Title: Plusnet:Action Required: Account Access Issue!  no.95980426-45338

Please review your account information through the official Plusnet UK Support website to restore access.

If you believe this notice was sent to you in error, or if you need assistance, you can contact Support through the official website using verified channels.

Kind regards,

@IanEdmundson Obvious spam - has been reported earlier - just forward it to abuse@plus.net .

Re: Presumed scam email

I have an email from [Removed]with an alert of an alleged unauthorised sign in. I am ytold not to reply to this email. How would I check whether genuine or not ( I should post as a new item but cannot find out how to do this and plusnet help seems to be restricted to set questions)

Re: Presumed scam email

An official email would not come from another Plusnet user account.

Plusnet BUSINESS emails come from @plus.net

In what way is Plusnet restricted to "set questions" - anything decent can be asked here.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Presumed scam email

I've had the same email.
If it's not from a central support account it's going to be spam.

Re: Presumed scam email

I too have had the same blindingly obvious spam , as have others - at least one of those has forwarded the rubbish to the abuse team.
