Re: Neighbour

It is also super easy to change the Wi-Fi password and then that is the all scroungers disconnected.

Act, or do not grumble !

Re: Neighbour

You could change the SSID to "No freeloading on this network" or something similar, they would soon get the message then 😀.

My personal opinion would be to help if for a week or 2 while they get their own, but no longer. Your get out is that the Plusnet provided router doesn't have a guest network and, as you work from home, there a potential for network access?

Other than that, what's wrong with mobile internet? You can get some really good data deals at the moment.

Re: Neighbour

There are more perinate matters to consider than the plain simple matter of boundaries and cost / payment.

The account holder is legally responsible for ALL INTERNET USAGE over their service.  If this third party were to be granted access to the internet connection and they then make abusive / inappropriate / illegal use of the service, it will be @DAVID3370 who would face prosecution.

This is more that the consideration of "not being cooperative" it is the right and proper protection of self from the potential liability arising from a third party's (mis)use of a service for which one has contractual obligations...

Best advice is to get them to sign up with Plusnet themselves ... and cite you their referrer ... which will give you a bit of discount off YOUR bill!
