@KDPN2015 Are you in a 'Fibre Priority' area? If not, you could move to EE on an FTTC connection, although if they offer you an FTTP connection, I would take it.
Do you need a 'land-line' phone?

What does either (1) https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL or (2) https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome say for your phone number/address? Attaching the full output (redacting personal details) would help.

So, you could stay with PN on a SOGEA connection (FTTC without the phone element). I would call PN and ask them to move you to that service.

You do not need to move to EE if you don't want to.
However you do need to make a decision. Phone services are being phased out so you need to consider either SOGEA (FTTC without the phone) or Full Fibre.
PN are actively encouraging people to move to Full Fibre if it's available.
As you're not bothered by a phone service your decision is quite easy but it needs to be made soon and PN advised accordingly.

There is some leeway as to where the ONT goes, especially if there's not a power source available. You talk to the engineer on the day. Have a look at the following. Note that as the router is connected by ethernet cable it can go anywhere you're happy to run said cable so two power sources are not necessarily required.
It is also possible to move the ONT afterwards if required. See
