IP address is saying i am in Minneapolis, US!!!

No VPN, Netflix and Disney + both now think I'm in the US. Must be a plusnet IP address fail.

so Disney+ just updated tehir IP database. Netflix says Plusnet need to fix it....

well after 40 minutes with Netflix telling me to try a zillion things that wont fix it and me saying 40 times you need to update your database they said - you need to get your ISP to fix it (AGAIN) at which point i told them, fix it or i cancel and bye... bloody useless netflix an whoever borked teh database in the first place out to be taken out back too...

Getting the same here, getting Newport US on all platforms, resetting the router last night  put me back in the UK, but it's switched bck to Newport again - it's frustrating as my speeds keep droping as well

That's interesting. Where are you getting Newport from?

Every Geolocation Database that I check with your IP address identifies the ISP as BT Americas Inc and your location as UK.

@Baldrick1 I've checked, and although the 'owner' is shown (on IPLocatiom.net) as BT Americas, on some of the services they list, they all show the actual range location as UK.

@Baldrick1 it's the location Disney+ shows me when I check 'where' it thinks my devices are at - Newport, MN, US

I know. All 8 different databases that I have checked show the location as UK. It is common knowledge that the world is running out of IPv4 addresses resulting in unused ones being transferred across borders.

Roll on the move to IPv6.

I have the same since yesterday too. Can’t access Netflix UK programs and it just typically coincides with me renewing my Sky contract so I am having issues getting that all synced regarding Netflix knowing I pay Sky. I have to call Plusnet today as I am out of contract.

I was on with Netflix this morning very early for them to tell me my provider needs to turn off vpn or change proxy servers. I forgot what the resolution was last time this happened so couldn’t argue with them beyond saying it was their fault last time.
We need to all urge Plusnet to contact them again so it can be resolved.
