Could anyone offer some advice please on how i would possibly get my forums url to be the same as my website please.  I am not sure if i can or not.

So now what else do i need to please?  If your busy i can check back later no probs.  Just playing around with it.

So once it is configured, my forums will be www.ccgi.jovtech.co.uk ? is that correct?

Your forums will be:
http://ccgi.jovtech.co.uk

You need to raise a ticket asking the support guys to action their end of the domain change, otherwise the CGI server wont realise that it's supposed to 'answer' to that address
Simply raise a ticket saying: "I've added ccgi.jovtech.co.uk to my domain records, please can you arrange for the ccgi server to respond to this domain"

What would happen if i changed the left field to forums other than ccgi?

I believe that the CGi server will only respond to ccgi. cgi. or www.
no other subdomain is supported, although I'm sure one of the PN guys could clarify.
