Can't remember where PlusNet hosting is? Grateful for a pointer please on how to find?  Just need to change a few files.

Thx.

Re: Hosting? where on Plusnet?

Depends what hosting platform you're referring to.
The Homepages platform is accessible over FTP using the address ftp.plus.net and your Plusnet username and password.
The CGI platform is accessible over FTP using the address ccgi.plus.net and has its own dedicated username and password. The username is typically in the format ccgi.<username>.plus.com

Re: Hosting? where on Plusnet?

Hi Bob:

I want to look at my files that are been hosted by PlusNet. I seem to remember there was an area you could do this and for when you wanted to make changes. I linked this to Sandvox years ago and did my edits thru that software. Now they have just walked away from customers and I need to make changes myself.

Thx

Re: Hosting? where on Plusnet?

Sandvox looks to be a WYSIWYG editor (What You See Is What You Get). I don't have any personal suggestions for an alternative but others may have.

The other more traditional option is to use an FTP client like Filezilla and configure it to connect to your webspace using the FTP address ftp.plus.net and your Plusnet username and password (the ones you use to log into our website).

An FTP client won't give you a visual editor though. You would need to download the files you want to change, edit them locally and then re-upload them to the server.

Does this help any - Support and Help for Sandvox from Karelia Software ?

Re: Hosting? where on Plusnet?

Thx for your message. I find that Sandvox do not reply or help at all. They appear not to have any involvement in their own previous software.

Not helpful at all. Trying to sort myself out.

There are a multitude of content editing tools out there, many of which are capable of importing an existing site and converting the content to their tooling.  Look here for starters - 13 Best WYSIWYG HTML Editors for Your Site (hubspot.com)
