Correcting a PTR record

By default, Plusnet assigns my username to my fixed IP in the PTR record, i.e. username.plus.com.  I have a mailserver attached to this IP.  Can I change the PTR value to my FQDN?  Does anyone know how this can be done?

Re: Correcting a PTR record

@Capital Yes, you ask here, and one of the staff will pickup the request and ask for confirmation.

Assuming you already have a forward pointing A record to your FQDN, then the rDNS PTR can be set to that.

Re: Correcting a PTR record

Thank you MisterW.

My FQDN is [Removed]

I confirm that I have a A record in my DNS table for exactly that value.

Thank you.

Re: Correcting a PTR record

I'd edit your post to remove the FQDN , this is a public forum. Staff will ask for the details either in a PM or by a ticket on your account.
