I go to one of my pages this morning and get a "not found" error.
I try filezilla, ftp. Can't connect.
I try the web control panel, can log in but nothing there.
Is there a CCGI problem? - there is nothing on the service status page.

No service-wide issues I'm aware of. I've raised a ticket on your account asking that Hostopia take a look (ref: 93040567).

I've no idea what's happened if I'm honest. Tried resetting your FTP password to no avail. Your account still exists in Hostopia's CRM systems so I'm hoping it's fairly trivial to revert whatever's changed.
Edit: Hostopia have been in touch to advise that everything should be working again. Shout up if you're still encountering problems.

Hey Bob, it's working again (well as far as my limited testing goes, but everthing seems good again!)
Any ideas what happened?
Was it something that I did? I can't think what...
I was just uploading and playing with a couple of CGI scripts (bash) to see what was possible. I had hoped to use it for a little ruby back-end for a site that the Mrs has on Weebly. I'd written some forms using SInatra and a few other bits that she iframes into her site. They're sitting on my in-house server at the moment and I wanted to see if I could run a CGI service to handle them. However, without Ruby that isn't going to happen. I could re-code them with PHP I guess.
Anyway, I was uploading bash scripts and trying them, changing them and re-uploading. Normal dev cycle but somewhat strained over an FTP connection
I can't think of anything that I could have done, apart from lots of FTP connections and uploads. After my first attempt to edit a file using the control panel file manager I dumped that idea and have been using FTP only.
Anyway, glad it's working again and I appreciate your help.

I've asked what the cause of the problem was so I'll let you know if I receive a meaningful response.
Edit: It was a permissioning issue apparently. How it came about, I don't know.
