I know and it's utterly ridiculous.

BTW is a joke. We're sync'd at 17-20 giving consistent Ookla and tbb readings around 15+. BTW gives anything from 1 to 6 or 7.

A few years ago Inused tbb's large file download test. This simple method proved that BTW is a waste of space.

I just ran a test and it wasn't far out on d/l but upload was three times what is obtainable.

Luckily, we can now get FTTP so will soon be switching.

Working for me, as it probably is for you now if you persist (it's more than flaky!)

Download speed about right, upload speed impossible for ADSL2+, i.e. same as ever (you might think BTW would be embarrassed enough by now to do something about it, but they don't seem to 'do' embarrassment!  😜 )

while testing why my already average 13mb fibre connection is now running consistently below 10mb, BTW helpfully tells me:

"Your speed test has completed and the results are shown above, however during the test an error occurred while trying to retrieve additional details regarding your service. As a result we are unable to determine if the speed you received during the test is acceptable for your service. Please re-run the test if you require this additional information."

Just done a test, 79Mbs dl, yipee..... oh, checked modem, no still the sub superfast broadband in Slowshire.

No extra diagnostics either, ho hum.

Yes, the one with the stupid rocket.

Today I have gone to 41Mbs, really clever as my sync speed is 22Mbs (I live in Slowshire) and the speed test is 20Mbs (using ethernet). The additional diagnostics is a blank page.

Is it working for you?

This one works perfect with ADSL2, including the further diagnostics, but then there isn't much 'speed' to measure - 3Mbps, talk about slow!

Hi

Works ok on Windows 10 Edge, but not on macosx Safari, where its showing 35Mbs as opposed to the Slowshire sub superfast speed of 20Mbs.

I performed the test on the Windows 10  after the macosx one, and Addition Tests informed me there is a 10min wait between tests, so it obviously got the request for the first one.

Not working properly!

First, on the new Edge, the test does not stop. Just the rocket image and a speed numeric output which varies and just keeps displaying until I close it. So no result

On Chrome it whistles through but shows no upload result!
