I can not login to the email server to retrieve my emails with a failed message, also webmail is down with the following message screenshot enclosed

I can't see the screenshot, but the message on webmail.plus.net reads:
CONFIGURATION ERROR
Please read the INSTALL instructions!

I can now login using Thunderbird and received an email I sent from a non plusnet account. Webmail still borked.

I too can now use Thunderbird to get mails, webmail still down same php message

There appears to be an issue with webmail.plus.net I suggest you try https://webmail.greenby.com/
Not sure if the greenby link works for emails accounts which have not been migrated.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Looks like Greenby is down as cannot access e-mail account that has been migrated.

I haven't been migrated, but the greenby webmail does indeed work - thanks, didn't know it would.
Edit: well, sort of works. I can read emails, but deleting an email raises an error to do with IMAP copying, and emails can't be sent due to an SMTP authentication error.

I now get something like "too many recipients in last hour" errors when sending via webmail - can't quite get the exact message as it doesn't stay on the screen long enough. Very frustrating.

I have no idea what "migrated to greenby" means, I've not heard of this is it a new webmail system Plusnet are using instead of the present slow one, I can now access webmail again thanks.

PlusNet are migrating all email, web, and domain hosting over to a dedicated company called Greenby because they no longer want to maintain these services. You keep your email address(es), emails, hosting, etc. but Greenby will manage it all instead of PlusNet.
It's been going on for months, although communication hasn't been great for some people. I only found out about the whole thing last year through these community forums, I've never received anything directly from PlusNet to say this was happening. In theory you will be notified shortly before they migrate you over (I've not been migrated yet).
As regards the original matter: webmail is working again and there are no errors when trying to send emails.

My e-mail access through Greenby is blocked for individual mailboxes as of about 13:00 today (Friday 13th...) If I try to access them from the Greenby dashboard (which logs in OK), I get:-
"RC error: Login failed, please check your credentials."
I haven't changed credentials since yesterday or indeed this morning, when access was working.
Update: Mailbox access is working again as of 13:24. I guess the server was rebooting?
