problems setting up email

i am using thunderbird as my client (also tried it with outlook)
it keeps telling me that my username or password is incorrect.
the details i am using is
[username]@plusdsl.net
the password is the one i use on here, and i have had the site send me the password, so i know i have been using the correct password.
email address is : <snip>
am i missing something simple?

Second, is mark a mailbox you have created or do you only have your default mailbox?
If this is not your default mailbox then the username will be drivingschool+mark and the password you entered when you created the mailbox.
If you are trying to access your default (catchall) mailbox the login is just drivingschool with your main plusnet account password.

Once you've set up your mailbox this should start working for you.

You may want to try downloading Plusnet Assist and letting that set up your mail for you. http://www.plus.net/assist/

got home, fired up my email client, and it worked without any changes. so not sure wht happened, did it need time for the settings to get thru properly?
