Yet again, cannot send emails from Totalise

So, we get an email saying we have not logged into our busy totalise webmail for sometime.

We login and all works along with send email.

Back to the PC and emails come in but 'send' stops working again.

Nothing (settings etc) has been changed aside logging in to webmail. Is this the 'upgrade' at work?

Has anyone had the same issue since Novembers email?

Re: Yet again, cannot send emails from Totalise

Totalise has not entered the migration programme.

Are you connected via Plusnet broadband or some other means?

What error code do you encounter?

Are you using POP3 or IMAP?  This does not directly impact sending but if IMAP and the mailbox is full, that can give rise to sending issues.

Try using the email server connection diagnostics - see the link below.

Re: Yet again, cannot send emails from Totalise

Hi Townman, Thanks for getting in touch, I've been trying all sorts of settings.

On lightspeed direct fibre connection.

Exactly the same issues as last time (Sep) with receive fine but send not working.

Settings are: POP, incoming: mail.plus.net, SMTP relay.plus.net ssl, password, port 587

I pinged the server last time and it was fine but had the std blacklisted note, was resolved after a few days. Now its just tripped off again on Windows Outlook, IOS etc.

Webmail send works ok.

Re: Yet again, cannot send emails from Totalise

Having retested using curl, now the mail download has stopped as well with response 'connected to mail.totalise.co.uk (212.159.9.240) port 143, same on port 110

< A002 NO Login failed.
* Access denied. ☻
* closing connection #0

Login details work on webmail.

SMTP says 535 ...authentication rejected

Nothing has changed at my end since it was working fine.

Any ideas?
