like a Labour chancellor leaves a note behind saying "We have spent all the money!"
The money was spent to bail out banks (effectively caused by unregulated practices, the regulation not being implemented by both sides of the political landscape). The money was spent with the explicit support of the opposition at that time in order to bail out the banks. Then the incoming political regime tried their very best to explicitly distance themselves and assign blame to the previous government.
(possibly best to leave politics out of technical discussions? This scenario has been analysed, in depth.)
There certainly appears to be exploitable holes which bad actors can (and do) use. There were accounts in the past (historic) which were unaffected by a previous breach. Two out of how many?
I will add that Pnet have one e-mail which is mine and has not received spam (and never has), but it is not part of the current e-mail migration.

The point being made is there’s no notice of the done deed where data is stolen as might be found in other known circumstances of loss.

Iv now been asked by Plusnet to provide a acreenshot of the error message shown when sending from Webmail.....
Webmail isn't allowing me to send from ANY of my Plusnet emails!
As soon as you click on the pencil icon to compose a new email, the edit screen shows for about 1 second and then closes again, reverting to the previous screen.
The same happens if I try to reply to an email there 😞
Im now waiting for Plusnet to call me back .....

When I search my email address at spamhaus it says my address has no issues 🤷♂️

The agent has been very good so far and called me yesterday as he promised 🙂
No one has asked me yet if I've rebooted my computer so ..... 😂😆

Is the compose set to use the main window or a pop-up window?
If a pop-up window, is there any restrictions in the browser for handling pop-up windows?

Plusnet now thinks that it's THEM that have blacklisted me! Apparently, 285,000 YES two hundred and eighty five thousand emails were sent from my account on Sat/Sun 27th 28th September!!!!
This case remains open

Are we to read that as 285K messages were sent via the Plusnet SMTP servers using your email credentials ?
Perhaps there is some other explanation.
