Setting automated replies to all incoming emails

Hi,
I have decided to set up new email accounts with new providers, so I need to set up an automated reply on my Plusnet accounts. The plan is to reply to all with my new address details, but also to forward everything to my new accounts. After 6 months I can then close down the Plusnet accounts.
Is there an easy way of doing this?

@fawkner I am not aware of any way of doing this, nice as it would be. I have just just set up a new email provider, and found that, especially with commercial organisations the easiest way, if their systems allow it, is to edit your 'profile' on the account.
Unfortunately, not all of them do allow this, so you have to create a new account from scratch. For personal contacts (friends/family), why not just do one email with everyone 'BCC'd.

Thanks for your reply. Letting friends and family is very easy. The account I used for business is another challenge, as I don't have a way of notifying potential customers that come accros my old address. I think I will just have to set a rule for now to forward all emails. I can then notify them of the new address.

@fawkner as @jab1 says its not possible to do this from the Plusnet control panel.
The only way I'm aware that this can be done, is to do it via the email client that collects your Plusnet email. For example, using Thunderbird, you can setup message filters and then have multiple actions i.e reply with template and forward. This does mean that you have to have an email client running more or less continuously if you wish to generate the reply in a timely manner
NB if done this way, its a good idea to try to filter out junk & spam BEFORE any forwarding and autoreplying
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
