Non transfer of personal domain to Greenby

My personal domain has not transfered and Greenby say manage it through PN until it has, should be sometime in the 1st quarter of the year. Since Greenby's email Monday afternoon I have not had one email. I have never used PN domain only my personal one. Can one of the team look into this for me please? Even a week without email will cause me problems. I did speak to CS last night and he said it looks as tho' all has transfered ok but there is obviously a problem somewhere.

Re: Non transfer of personal domain to Greenby

@Mayfly AFAIK no accounts with hosted domains have been migrated yet.

Is your personal domain registered and hosted with Plusnet ?

Re: Non transfer of personal domain to Greenby

Hi MisterW,  I have no idea really. It was arranged 20yrs ago by a friend, and was originally hosted with FNN, that was bought out by MAAF (there may have been another supplier between FNN and MAAF I can't remember now) and MAAF susequently by PN  .... always worked under those circumstances.

I have no idea really.

If you login to your PLusnet account and select the 'Manage account' tab , do you have a link to 'Domain names'  ?

Re: Non transfer of personal domain to Greenby

Nope can't see one just gives me account details, such as my name, user name, account number, auth users and address. Using Lookupicann.org it says

Name Servers Force9.  >>>>   then further down the page

  • Name: Plusnet Plc t/a Madasafish Broadband
  • IANA ID: MADASAFISH

Does that make sense?

Re: Non transfer of personal domain to Greenby

That does tend to imply that the domain is registered ( and I assume therefore hosted ) with Plusnet.

I've tagged one of the staff in the SU forum and asked the question regarding migration of accounts with hosted domains . I've also pointed them at this thread.

Re: Non transfer of personal domain to Greenby

I've spoken with CS and they say there is no personal email domain attched to my account and they can't do anything because they have no information. Yet at the bottom of the email I received from CS saying they had opened an Question had my personal email domain at the bottom of it!

So where do I go from here? I need help - this has been going on for a week and I have no idea where or how to sort it!

Looked up on Whois and the info is the same as the previous post stating named servers as  ns1.force9.net.
ns2.force9.net. and Madasafish!

Re: Non transfer of personal domain to Greenby

The person I tagged wasnt in last week but hopefully should be back in tomorrow and pick up the tag.

There's no point in me tagging any others as they will just suggest calling CSC who, from what you say,  don't seen to be able to understand the problem.

Re: Non transfer of personal domain to Greenby

No, nothing downloaded to my mail client & checked both PNs Squirrel mail and Greenby's Roundcube mail and no new emails showing in either.

Re: Non transfer of personal domain to Greenby

@Mayfly have you checked for replies to your PMs ?

From my staff contact, I was led to believe that the domain was on a different account and, as I suspected, had not been migrated

Re: Non transfer of personal domain to Greenby

Yes and I've sent the info requested. AFAIK there isn't another account but it was with MAAF when PN bought them out so whether that has anything to do with it I don't know.
