I'm having trouble getting email to work on my IPAD 2 using the Plusnet Network
I can access the internet via WiFi on the IPAD but I'm getting errors when I try to setup email.
I've previously setup email on the Laptop which is functioning correctly.
I've tried setting up the IPAD email for both IMAP and POP to no avail.
I set it up as follows:-
New Account
Name: Fred Bloggs
Address: fbloggs@username.plus.com (I use my usual plusnet email address)
Password: ********* (I've used the same password as to login to my Plusnet account)
Incoming Mail Server
Host Name : imap.plus.net
User Name: username (I've used the same Username as to login to my Plusnet account)
Password: ********* (I've used the same password as to login to my Plusnet account)
Outgoing Mail Server
Host Name: relay.plus.net
User Name: username (I've used the same Username as to login to my Plusnet account)
Password: ********* (I've used the same password as to login to my Plusnet account)
I then get the SSL Errors as expected which I say 'YES' to. ie set up the account without SSL.
I then get the error 'imap.plus.net' is not responding.
I've looked at the advanced settings
The server port for Incoming email is set to 110 and the Outgoing is set to 25.

Note that the if its not the account default mailbox then the username should be 'username+mailboxname' and the password the mailbox password i.e the same credentials you use to login to webmail.

The account is the default mailbox so I'm using the same password throughout.
I'm also assuming that the setup is the same as the IPHONE guide.

It's looking like an IPAD setup problem.
I think we need someone who's actually got an IPad to help...
Meanwhile I would suggest you double check all your settings just in case
