I am experiencing repeated mail delivery failures when sending to external recipients (e.g. TalkTalk). The messages are being rejected before delivery with the following error:

550 5.7.1 Connection refused - [84.93.230.250] blocked by Validity https://senderscore.org/blocklist-lookup/ OXSEU001_102 - https://postmaster-oxseu.vadesecure.com/inbound_error_codes/#_102

The bounce message indicates that the sending server:

avasout-ptp-004.plus.net (84.93.230.250)

is being blocked due to poor reputation or blocklisting.

Could you please investigate the reputation of this outbound server (84.93.230.250),

Is it only TT reporting this error? We have seen this previously from people attempting to send to TT addresses.

My personal take on this is that 'senderscore.org' is not a reliable service - it is probably cheap, which is why TT use it, but is not reliable.

I have only experienced it with TT.

I sent one message to a regularly used email address @talktalk.net  early yesterday successfully. 

Yesterday evening and subsequently it is failing.

I recently tried to connect my mobile version of Thunderbird for sending messages,and got a similar response. I can receive them fine

@rogerwhill_foru That is because TT, or senderscore, to be more accurate, are a tad useless.

I had a problem sending to outlook email addresses a couple weeks ago (?) and after a while, maybe an hour, it resolved itself but it's happening again right now. Not sure if this is related but I'll post here anyway as this MIGHT be a similar issue. Says this in the bounce from outlook ..

I just tried my own outlook.com address and same thing happened. Immediate bounce. I've changed nothing, same config as I've had for years.

My emails to talktalk addresses are still being rejected. Sent via avasout-peh-001 [212.159.14.17] (twice).

Once again my outlook issue (verified by sending to my own outlook address which failed then worked) resolved itself after an hour or less.. not sure what's going on with that, THAT one might be an issue at microsoft. OR .. perhaps more than one server is used to send mail, and it depends which one is being used as to which one causes them to say "sod off bad peeps!"

This is not a mail client issue.

It is an issue between two mail relay servers.

I have managed to send 2 emails to the talktalk address that was seeing this problem.  No notice of failure yet.

It IS A server issue. What I mean is twice now in the last month or so  @OUTLOOK.COM email addresses bounce the emails back saying the email server at plusnet is part of some blocked list. I posted the actual error from the microsoft email servers elsewhere. (Outlook and hotmail email addresses being owned by Microsoft).

But it seems to resolve itself after a while.
