Hi all,
Sorry for yet another Greenby question, but I am, like others, getting frustrated.
I had an email from Greenby on the 2nd saying they were now taking over from PN and to sign in to their site. Everything worked as normal until the 9th, when I stopped receiving emails.
I eventually logged into my account yesterday but couldn't access webmail because of their problems. I can now access it and see I have had emails but they are not coming through to my tablet or phone (Android). I obviously don't want to keep logging into webmail to check for emails.
Should I have changed any settings? PN said I didn't need to as everything would continue as normal.
I chatted to a useless bot on Greenby yesterday that advised me they were having problems and were working on it. When I said I had had no emails for two days it said I needed to chat with an expert. That expert joined that chat, posted exactly the same message about the problems that the bot had said, then left the chat. Utterly useless.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I forgot to add that I am a complete numpty when it comes to this sort of thing.

Hi @Andy63.
Thanks for coming here.
Sorry to hear you are unable to receive emails since you migrated.
Have you been able to get back in touch with Greenby since your post yesterday?
Katie

I haven't. After my experience with them online the other day, I would probably be wasting my time.
I was really hoping someone clever on here might have an idea.

I have used Samsung mail to access Greenby since December on 4 different devices.
If in Mail you open Settings (cog wheel) then select your account, then server settings, what do you have for:
In Account, what is the format of the name specified (not the actual name!)?
In the Incoming and outgoing servers, what is the server, security type, port and path prefix?
Do you have Require Authentication selected? What is the format of the name specified (not the actual name!)?

Sorry, but I don't understand the format question. I truly am a numpty
Incoming is;
Pop3 - mail.plus.net
Security - none
Port - 110
Outgoing is;
SMTP - relay.plus.net
Security - none
Port - 587
Require Authentication is on.
Then there's my username in lowercase and numbers
Thanks

Success. Rang Plusnet. They were very apologetic but couldn't help. Had to chat to Greenby bot and it was actually very helpful, unlike last time.
Had to delete my account and then add it again with different settings, changing from pop3 to imap.
That doesn't mean anything to me 😅 but it worked.

The first Greenby satisfied customer heard from. A post as welcome as the first snowdrops of spring. Are things looking up?

Well, so far I have raised 16 tickets on Greenby, and I have to say once you get past the bloody bot the humans are generally responsive - even if it is to say that some facility that used to work on PN/Force9 no longer works! Some real problems are understood, worked on, and some even fixed.
Satisfied? Not yet ... but I do have some hope.
