Re: Plusnet email moving to Greenby

The one email I've seen, was genuine from Plusnet, and logged on the Metronet account.

The message was logged as a ticket via the portal/PN database and said the below ..

We sent you an email a month ago about your Plusnet email moving over to Greenby – this has now been completed, if you need any help with your email please go to the Greenby site here: https://greenby.com.

If you haven't already you will shortly receive a welcome email from Greenby which contains details on how you can manage your email account.

Re: Plusnet email moving to Greenby

This is what has happened to me too. I am the account holder but have not had any communication from Plusnet. My husband who has a mailbox on my account received an email on 2nd October. This is completely unacceptable.

Re: Plusnet email moving to Greenby

As the account holder, are you using...

  1. The default email address?
  2. The email address identified as the account contact email address in the member centre?

The communications are sent to the DEFAULT mailbox and the account contact email address (if it is different).  They being the ones used by the account holder is a bit of a moot point.

Inspecting the ticket history on the account (see the link below) should indicate the address to which the communication was sent.

@cassuki see my reply on the other thread https://community.plus.net/t5/Email/Plus-com-now-moving-to-Greenby/m-p/2026710#M54639. But in a nutshell, the email to your husband is not notification that the account is scheduled for migration, rather that your husbands email client MAY be using non-standard configuration (which will not work post migration) and should be checked in preparation for the migration.

Re: Plusnet email moving to Greenby

Something happening now on a plus.com account, incoming mail being routed via

Received: from mail.enmail.co ([91.204.208.8])

before avasin. I only noticed because I got two copies of one email so checked headers, the same message-id on both but different arrival times.

Progress!

Re: Plusnet email moving to Greenby

All Plusnet mail (of whatever flavour) has been passing through the Greenby proxy server for some time.

Certainly all inbound mail … not most outbound mail.

Re: Plusnet email moving to Greenby

I was meaning inbound, @Townman  - I have no knowledge of outbound routing. 😀

Re: Plusnet email moving to Greenby

The quick summary is

Metronet - migration of customers is complete, all inbound and outbound mail is via Greenby

Force9/Free-online - Inbound and outbound mail is on the Greenby proxy. Free-online migrations are in progress. Force9 is likely to start next week

Plusnet - Just inbound is on the Greenby proxy

Madasafish - All mail remains on Plusnet

Thanks @dave , I'm keen to see my free-online account move and check it out, so good to hear it's imminent.

Re: Plusnet email moving to Greenby

I have been regularly logging in to the Greenby portal as some of my metronet emails are being indentified as spam so are not replicating on my iphone and laptop. Once I mark them them as not spam they replicate without issue and any sent after that replicate on my laptop and iphone.

Noticed today when logged in I cant view my email boxes.Clicking on the three dots now provides more options than just changing the password, but nothing allowing you view the contents of your email boxes.

I have raised a ticket but I am now stuck in an eternal loop of update and reply with the AI robot.

@Rickmia18

It seems to depend on how you get to the mailbox list. From the Home screen, click Manage against the Email product. That should give the main Email screen with tabs for Mailboxes etc. With the Mailboxes tab selcted, each mailbox should have a 'View webmail' link at the RHS which should show the contents of the Mailbox in webmail.

Re: Plusnet email moving to Greenby

So when clicking on mange from the home page it takes me to my two email boxes. On the RHS for both email boxes originally there was only the option to change the password. At that time clicking on the email address allowed me to view the contents of either email box.

Now the only options when clicking on the three dots are from top to bottom: -

Change Password

@Aliases

Edit Storage Space

Connect Devices

Disable Mailbox

Delete Account

There is no option to view the email boxes and it is not possible to click on the email addresses as before to view the contents of my email boxes. Currently there appears to be no way of viewing the contents of my email boxes through the Greenby portal

That being said I am still receiving emails if I replicae on my iphone and laptop.

Re: Plusnet email moving to Greenby

@Rickmia18 looking at a free-online migrated account I see the display  you refer to (2nd attachment) if I select Email from the Home screen. However if I select Manage from the Home page then I see the other display as in the first attachment which has the webmail link
