Re: Plusnet email moving to Greenby

Greenby transferred me to an agent at 10:20 (40 minutes ago)

Still waiting.

Any suggestions how to alter 2-part ID when your PlusNet email is one of the two parts?

Re: Plusnet email moving to Greenby

Back online now (apparently)

The email account was disabled due to spam.
We have activated it now .

says operator Sajith

so "WE" can disappear your emails without consultation

You must be joking (for me, at least) - I have always used a client, from the time I got my first computer - from 'Tiny', back in the very dim and distant past and I'm not prepared to regress.

'Tiny' now that really is a name from the past. My first PC too!

Ask Leo on YouTube sums this up in 6 minutes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z42YE3DoRH8

"It's extremely unlikely you've been hacked, and there is  nothing you can do about it"

Looks like after 34 years I've lost my email address because someone bought it off a list for nefarious purposes.

Re: Plusnet email moving to Greenby

Morning update.

Thunderbird won't connect.

Only 5 emails in this morning, on Greenby webmail.

My support ticket reads

"Hi xxx
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We can confirm that your account has not been closed.

We have reset the account passwords to strong random ones and reactivated the account to ensure its security.

If you continue to experience any issues accessing your inbox or notice any unusual activity, please let us know and we will investigate further. We’re here to help and will do our best to ensure your service continues to run smoothly.
Best regards,
Sxxxh,

Seems to explain why I can't access my account by Thunderbird.

They have apparently reset the passwords to stop me!

Re: Plusnet email moving to Greenby

Like a number of others, the solution to all these issues has been to migrate to a reliable email provider. Goodness knows what Plusnet were thinking when they decided to move to Greenby...
