@SilverE we're adding spf.greenby.com to our domains which will include the Greenby outbound servers, it's already been done on metronet.co.uk if you want to check what we've done.
If we opted to not be migrated (like I did), when during the day notified in the email (today) should we expect the service to cease?
Is there any way we can get confirmation that the data has been securely deleted from the servers, that the data has not been sent to the third party (Greenby) and that the account is now fully closed for outbound and inbound emails?
The lack of terms being supplied prior to migration is what convinced me to click the 'do not migrate me' button several times @ColdharbourDave
Thanks @dave, I can see what's listed and I'll be able to add that to my own domain directly if necessary.
Hi folks
I have a Metronet email address and still haven't received anything from Greenby. I'm aware that I might yet receive one, but is there anyone with a timescale on when the Metronet transfer might take place and when I can expect an email? This seems to be dragging on.
I can see on the Greenby page that there are only Plusnet, Force9, and Free-Online in the drop down, no Metronet. Is it still to be added?
I also cannot log in to the webmail via the login page. It has a message "We have temporarily disabled the sort function, there is no need to contact us." It just says - login failed.
Thanks in advance for any info.
Just logged in to web mail. I can see the same error sort message but it doesn't prevent me from logging in to Metronet. The web mail email box aligns with my Outlook email box so still receiving emails.
I have still have not received any notification from Greenby either.
I've not received an email form either Greenby or Plusnet that my metronet account has moved to Greenby and it is still working, so I assume it's still with Plusnet.
How will I know, for some obscure technical reason, my metronet account won't be migrated to Greenby? By stopping being able to send/receive emails, just has happened in the recent past!
PS I too have had a letter from my bank saying they've not been able send emails to me and asked me to check all sort of things I know haven't changed my end, but can be probably identified as a screw up by Plusnet.
This is not a complaint as I can understand the complexity of the migration process; I'd just really like to know that my metronet email account will be migrated to Greenby rather than by lack of an email from anyone it hasn't or wont.
@FF101 Does it state in that email a proposed transfer date?
@FF101 I do not use Plusnet email so not interested in moving to Greenby, but have not received any emails about the migration. The original information said that every customer would have the option to opt out of moving to Greenby, have you seen this option in any emails you have received?
@RealAleMadrid It was certainly in the one I received.
The PN email says this about opting out...

Just a reminder that if you don’t use your email or don’t wish us to transfer your data to Greenby, you can opt out of the transfer by clicking here. If you don’t Opt out of the transfer, your mailbox or service will migrate to Greenby. |
