I received my email, well 2 copies actually today, which I 'think' resolves the issue, although it would have been nice for the domain name in question to have been included in the email so I knew 100% which email domain it refers to.

@dave Thanks, emails received for both my historic accounts. I'm not sure it was necessary to say that PlusNet had made an error, it was no more than an oversight, but the apology is appreciated nonetheless, as is the full 2 yrs free with Greenby.
Four emails received altogether, one to the default mailbox for each account and one to the contact addresses, so it was clear which is which.

Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of associated "email only" accounts that are going to be allowed ?
Yesterday I received 2 emails re correcting the error, but they were not for the two email accounts I had previously asked PN that I would like to keep ?
Over the years I have created 6 or 7 PAYG email accounts, but the two emails I have received are for 2 random ones that must have also met their criteria, but they are not the ones I want to keep ?
I was wondering if I was to go through the opt out option on those two accounts and all the others I don't need to keep so that they can then send emails for the two accounts I do want to keep ?
Note to @plusnettony as of 16:00 hrs 10/6/25 - I have not received any further emails...
Thanks.
EDIT - just found one more email but sent to my Gmail account - but still not for an account I want to keep

AIUI all accounts will be candidates for migration at some time or another, so there is no limit. The vISP email brands are being done in phases, within which their are sub-cohorts related to various additional criteria. If the mail services you are more interested in have not yet been notified, do not worry, they will be covered in a latter phase.
AFAIK The bulk of the plus.com accounts will be the last phase of the programme.
If there are old mail services you DO NOT want to migrate (are happy to see them die) then please look at the opt out procedures.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

Thanks for the reply
I have just used the opt out option for the accounts I have received the first email but not the second email.
Unfortunately the one account that I have received the first email but not the second is the one account I want to keep
I checked the account details, name, address, phone number and they are the same on all accounts.

Strange,..
I just logged into one of the two accounts that received the second email and compared my details with my BB account and they are completely different ?
It has my old address, old phone number, old post code and even my name is shown as Dave as opposed to David on all my other accounts yet it received the second email
Yet the one email account that I still use every day and was a 2nd BB account I setup at my Mum's house when she was ill and I was spending all my time there has not received the second email ?

@daveg6hni I think it matched to the CLI as it's still present on that free account you refer to. The CLI is the same as one of the contact numbers on your broadband account.

Also worth noting that the update email we sent this week only went to people who received the original notification of the email migration in the previous 2 months where we managed to match them to a broadband account. There are another group of customers that we've matched up but we've not sent any comms to.
As such there could be people with 3 accounts like this:
Broadband account: this won't have received any comms yet as we've not sent any comms to broadband accounts at all yet
None-broadband account 1: this may have been sent comms last month, if we matched it to the broadband account via one of the pieces of data and it's been sent an update
None-broadband account 2: this hasn't been sent any comms yet but assuming we matched it to the broadband account, when we do send the comms it will be sent the comms to say the free period is 2 years.
Note: comms will be spread out across many months and done in batches based on certain criteria. For example, accounts with domain names are more complicated than those without so they're later in the plan.

This is just an quick update to say,
That although my important email account D*****3 did receive the first email on12/5/25, I have not received the second email and this is as of 10am on 3/6/25. The second important email account S*********R is yet to receive the first email.
Happy to leave it with PN to resolve.
Regards, Dave

18th June 20:22. My metronet email account is no longer working. It won't receive nor send emails. If I try to send an email to my metronet email address (from another non metronet account) I get "
I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not be delivered to one or more recipients.
Recipient address rejected: User unknown
"
Last time my metronet account received an email was 10:28 today.
I trust this outage is due to the movement to Greenby but if not the information may help Plusnet find and fix the problem.

Like tobiz, my Metronet email has been broken since yesterday. It will send, but not receive. I have to presume a Greenby-related thing though I've had no communication since the initial "we're making changes" email that I posted at the start of this thread.
It comes at a particularly distressing time for me and my family - not that that's anyone's fault here - but I'm hoping someone could shed some light on what's happening so we can accommodate this somehow. I was rather hoping that the move to Greenby would happen quickly so our problems weren't compounded by the risk of PN issues.
Anyway -
