Plusnet email currently blacklisted by BT?

I tried sending test emails to various addresses and none are getting through to a btinternet.com address. This address receives other mail ok.

At first I thought it might be due to the client (Thunderbird), but the same happens when I send from plusnet webmail.

 

The emails properly go in the Sent folder, and I'm not getting a bounce or any other error message.

Fix

Blacklisted would have brought about an explicit NDR response.  Are you sure that they have not gone to the spam folder?

@plusnettony is it possible that BT is grey listing *,plus.com?

Defiantly blacklisted.

 

I'm having problems too.

 

Cannot send emails on the PC connected to Plusnet nor can I send when connected to Vodafone mobile.

 

I still receive emails......

 

relay.plus.net isn't blacklisted....?

No!!!

A service being on a black list and a receiving serving blacklisting that service are not the same thing.

Where a service decides to refuse delivery permanently it should return a NDR.  Where no NDR is returned there’s a fair possibility that the delivery is being deferred or grey listed.  That’s exactly what Gmail does.

Ok.

So why can't I send emails?

Why the error? Nothing has changed in my settings.

I'm confused!!!!

How to I resolve this?

I had to set up a new IMAP account in TB to see the Spam folder, and yes, there they were! Thanks

That is a different matter (explicit blacklisting) discussed elsewhere around here.

I recently did a little research, as BT Internet's spam filter was hitting a small society mailing list I run (not via Plusnet). 

 

Here are some instructions if you can persuade your correspondents to follow them:
