No emails received

Hi

 

No changes this end but I’ve received no emails since Sat 09/09.  I have come the long route to plusnet (freenetname via Madasafish). 

Has anything changed?

Btw I can see that the domain is due to expire on 18/10/23. I believe that Plusnet manages this ordinarily

Hi @Thorneyfields Nothing has changed that we're aware of. Have you tried accessing your emails via webmail to see if you can see your emails being received this way?

 

Have you also tried to email yourself, to see if you get an error or bounce back?

Hi 

Yes -  tried webmail. Again it stops at the same point.

Also mailed myself from my work account and nothing comes through.

Does the email show as sent from your work account?

 

When you say it stops at the same point, what do you mean sorry?

Sorry - wasn’t being v clear. Email sent ok from work; shown in Sent Items as successfully issued.

 

When I said web mail stopped at the same point I meant the last email received was the same as seen elsewhere (i.e. 09/09)

Thanks for confirming that @Thorneyfields, I have looked and there is nothing sticking out on your account. I have refreshed the mailbox, can you login to the affected email account and send an email from itself to itself? Then we can see if it's both sending and receiving that is the problem etc.

Hi

 

No change to my inbox. I’ve sent mails from webmail and tablet. Neither received.

 

However, I have just sent mails to my work address from both webmail and tablet. Both have been successfully received.

 

Additional observations:

- Webmail sends but does not save [message says “Unable to perform operation. No free disk space.”]
- I checked webmail and local mail and junk mail is being received successfully (Better if it was the other way round of course)

it looks therefore as though Inbox mail isn’t being received. V odd.

That suggests the mailbox is likely full. If you click on Settings in the top right of webmail, from there you should be able to check the size of each folder then add them all up to see if combined they’re below the 250MB quota.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

Hi - thanks for this. I am unable to see the size for Inbox (this appears to be a special folder which I can’t access in settings.

 

The balance of the folders add up to ~134mb.

Have just removed a folder of 132mb. Inbox still not populating 😕

Hmm, I've done some further work on your account to see if that helps. 

The changes should go through in 4 hours. Hopefully you can receive emails to your inbox after then.
