Is Plusnet email down.

Plusnet email, not Greenby, is down here.

Connections to the server “imap.plus.net” on the default ports timed out.

Plusnet webmail is also down.

N.B. I have not yet been moved to Greenby.

Or do both Greenby and Plusnet email provisions use the same server names?

Trying to reach webmail.plus.net is giving me (in Firefox latest version):

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to webmail.plus.net. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

Error code: PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

• The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
• Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem.

which often means the site certificate is invalid.

Please can this be addressed as a mater of urgency.

Using MS Outlook every Plusnet POP3 connection has failed reporting the "Encryption Type" is not supported.
SSL/TLS was working fine yesterday.


Thunderbird IMAP connection to Plusnet is failing to connect. 
This was also working yesterday.

It seems that 'they' have broken the secure access protocols.

@plusnettony I've got the same issue. None of my mailboxes are connecting from my (POP) email client. And I can't even get the plusnet OR Greennby webmail pages to load.

This may be a separate issue but late last night I logged on to mail (on my Mac) and it started (re)-downloading every email in 3 of my mailboxes. ie over a thousand of them in total. This is what happened when we were initially migrated: emails that had been moved from my inbox (on mail client) reappeared and those that were still there were marked as unread.  Really a pain to have to go through everything again.

Me too. I was able to collect Plusnet email on my phone earlier this morning, but getting it on my computer just now I got the message 'everyone' is getting. Non-Plusnet email is coming in OK as usual.

Indeed. Currently the Plusnet Squirrel Webmail site can't even be reached.

Hmmm… can't reach this page

I have the same issue - no access to webmail via Firefox, Chrome or Edge.  Thank you for raising the issue.  Please keep us advised on when the service should be restored.

I was preparing the following post:

I have just detected that Plusnet email accounts may not be synchronising.
On an existing setup account:
Using full email address, mailbox password, IMAP.plus.net, port 993, SSL/TLS security.
This now throws the error "Email security not guaranteed, ...the highest security level may not be supported"
Changing security to "None" doesn't succeed either.
This results in not being able to add the address to an email client.

No access for me to webmail.plus.net or IMAP using MacOS Mail or Windows Thunderbird

I'm not yet migrated to Greenby
