Inbox name too long

Ever since the upgrade, both my wife and my inbox now have over 600 inboxes. They seem to be automatically multiplying, so getting sync problems in OUTLOOK. I see these in the WEB mail version as well.
It starts with INBOX 1, then I have INBOX 11 , then INBOX 111 and so on until the message below.
Mailbox name too long (0.001 + 0.000 secs). (.INBOX 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1.)
How do I delete these, as I don't seem to be able to mass select?

I have removed my account, checked the WEB email, and the inboxes with 1111 etc are still there. I have reinstated my account in OUTLOOK and the inboxes with 1111 etc are still there. So no change.
