I phone 6 will not send mails

Hi all,
I am in the process of changing over to Plusnet. I am setting up my phone, exactly as stated on the website, but it keeps saying my outward mail username or password are in correct. when they are not. Any help would be appreciated  thanks

Welcome to the forums.
Based on your "in the process of changing over to Plusnet" comment I assume your broadband is yet to transfer to Plusnet. Unfortunately until that transfer is completed the email servers will not allow you to send mail using an external email client (eg the one on your phone).
You could use webmail (https://webmail.plus.net) but until transfer you need to continue using your current ISP's email relay for sending from an external email client.

This is a little confusing as I am having the same problem with my I phone se, but I have managed to set up ok on my laptop mail program
