How I managed to set up my outlook android plus.net email

I've been trying for ages to get this to work.

This page https://www.plus.net/help/email-guides/how-to-set-up-plusnet-email/ says

What other settings do I need?

You'll need to give a few more details when you're setting up your email application. They can be pretty confusing, so here's what to use.

  IMAP POP
Incoming serverimap.plus.netmail.plus.net
Incoming port993995
Outgoing serverrelay.plus.netrelay.plus.net
Outgoing port587 (recommended) or 25587 (recommended) or 25
STARTTLSYesYes
SMTP Authentication (only needed if you're sending emails from a non-Plusnet Internet connection)*YesYes

* This is only available if you've got an active Plusnet broadband account

If your client doesn't support STARTTLS, then you can set SSL/TLS to Yes and set the outgoing port to 465.

If you've been with us a while, your domain might be '.force9.co.uk or '.free-online.net'. If so, change '.plus.net' to '.force9.net' or '.free-online.net' for both your incoming and outgoing servers.

When I try to set things up in my outlook android client, I find that I need to choose SSL/TLS and use port 465 as above.
Additionally, despite needing to use my username in the format of bbaccount+email elsewhere, that does not work for the IMAP and RELAY usernames.  Instead, I must use email@bbaccount.plus.com

Hope this save someone else some time.
