Greenby?!

I've had no notfication about Greenby and this email saying my migration is complete is the first I've heard of them.

As far as I know I've never used PlusNet email or anything other than my broadband connection. I can't log in using my plusnet login, so how do I cancel it? I don't want it and don't want charges in 2 years time when I've forgotten all about it.

Why have PlusNet given my personal information to another provider without my knowledge or consent?

Re: Greenby?!

Fix

The privacy section of the T & Cs probably covers transfer of information to Greenby

If there’s a change in who owns us or any of our assets, we might share personal information to the new (or prospective) owner and our advisors

I can't log in using my plusnet login, so how do I cancel it? I don't want it and don't want charges in 2 years time when I've forgotten all about it.

If you've been migrated to Greenby, then you should be able to login to the Greenby portal (Greenby.com) using your Plusnet username & password.  Going to Billing and then Services, there is an option to cancel the service.

To log into the Greenby email service you need to use your full PN email address as your username, not just your PN username.

Re: Greenby?!

I too have received notification that my migration is complete (which I was expecting) along with a welcome message.

The basics of the new system seem to be working, especially on webmail. All my incoming and sent emails are there. But I wonder if anyone can help with advice on a couple of glitches.

1) If I try to sent a message from my Plusnet address  via Oultook on my PC I get a send/eceive error (0x80040119) which says my message "cannot be saved to my IMAP Sent folder." I can send message by webmail.

2) The Plusnet account on my iPhone 16 shows only the Inbox folder, not the Drafts, Sent etc other folders.. If I go to Settnigs in the Mali app, only the Inbox folder is mapped to the IMAP server. The other folders are all mapped to my phone and there is no option to change this by mapping them to the server because they do not appear on the list of folders avalable on the server. By contrast, all the usual folders appear on webmail and in Out ook. It's just the iiPhone where they're missing.

Grateful for any wisdom from the experts and fellow users.

Re: Greenby?!

When I go to billing, it prompts to fill out information and accept T&Cs. I don't want to do either but I do want to cancel the greenby account. I've tried to raise a ticket but that doesn't work.

I was hoping it didnt insist on that. Is there any option to not accept the T & C's ?

If there isnt , then you'll have to wait for a staff member to pick this up.

@MichaelD could someone assist @kirkstones & @ac2017 with how to cancel the Greenby service please ?

It would seem they never received the notification email that included the 'opt-out' link

Re: Greenby?!

Hi @ac2017 @kirkstones

The opt out information is usually included within the Plusnet email you'd receive ahead of migration to Greenby, so I do apologise that you've not had this yet. I'd like to check this with our support team for you both.

I'll send over a Private Message to take a few more details.

Speak soon,
Linzi

Re: Greenby?!

I had to reset the Greenby account password as my PlusNet one didn't work, then accept the T&Cs to be able get into the portal and request my account and details be deleted. I've had no confirmation that this has taken place yet. This is all far from ideal for something that I'd not be notified of until it was too late.

Re: Greenby?!

How do you know if youve been migrated? Other than receiving an email.

It should be seamless, you might not notice if you don't see the Welcome email. However, if you PM me your email address, I'll check it for you.

Re: Greenby?!

@JohnWath Plusnet do not pass on financial details - only those required to move the email component of your PN account.
