Re: Greenby migration without consent

@Bungee we've been sending a mixture of "opt in" and "opt out" emails. Opt in emails have started to be sent to customers that have Plusnet email (may also have webspace) but have never used it to allow them to keep it should they want to use it at some point in the future. The opt in emails started sending this month, it sounds like you might have had one of these and opted in rather than opt out.

Re: Greenby migration without consent

Hello Dave thank you for your reply I definitely opted out of the transfer as I sent a screen shot of the Plusnet email to Greenby opt out with a comment across the email stating the date I opted out, so don’t know what else to do.

Hello again Tony I’ve logged into my account as you asked using both links but I don’t know what I’m looking for? It just shows stuff about my broadband account and contract?

@Bungee if you login to your account and then use the link https://www.plus.net/wizard/?p=search it should show a link to a list of any open questions. You should then be able to select the question Tony raised and reply to it

There should be a reply button. If you just reply, and enter you'd like us to delete email and then submit, I'll see the reply and action.

It's done our side and I asked Greenby to do their side too.

Re: Greenby migration without consent

Hi Tony, I also have had my ic24.net email address transferred despite having opted out before the cut off date.  Can you please get my account shut down both on Plusnet and Greenby sides?  Many thanks in anticipation.

Re: Greenby migration without consent

As I started this I thought I would share my experience. I raised a complaint with Greenby and Plusnet as someone somewhere transferred data without permission. Greenby were unhelpful and didn’t treat it seriously. Plusnet, however, were really good. I received confirmation that

I have asked one of our network team to see if they could confirm if your opt-out request had bene received correctly. They confirmed it had been. They have raised this internally to see why this had happened. I am truly sorry that your data was moved after you had opted out.

I have been asked if you wish all the data moved to Greenby to be deleted from Greenby servers? I can arrange that for you if you wish.

Plusnet then took it up with Greenby to get my data removed and confirmed to me.

I have now received confirmation that your account and data have been removed from the Greenby systems. I am sorry that your account was moved in error, I am pleased that we were able to reach a resolution you were happy with.

We believe we've now fully resolved your issue. I'd like to thank you for your patience whilst we've dealt with it.
