Freenetname (FNN) / (MAAF) email settings for MS Outlook.

Hi,

Today I have an issue sending emails from my FNN account - receiving is still fine. Another post on this.

Could any FNN users still out there please send me their exact outgoing server settings? So I can compare with mine - which as I say have been working fine for years?

Just curious to see what other FNN users are using?

BTW - my credentials work fine on the plusnet email web interface so they should be valid.

As nobody has replied to this question in a month,  Here is what AI says -

For Madasafish email transferred to Greenby, use these SMTP settings:

Recommended SMTP (outgoing) settings

Setting	Value	Notes
SMTP Server	mail.enmail.co	Preferred Greenby server (valid certificates). Alternatives that often work: mail.plusnet.enmail.co or (sometimes) relay.plus.net
Port	587	Recommended
Encryption	STARTTLS	Required for reliable sending
Alternative Port	465	Use with SSL/TLS instead
Username	Full email address (e.g. [email protected])	Important – do not use just the username part
Password	Your mailbox password	Same as before
Authentication	Required / Yes	Must be enabled

Notes & tips

• Greenby’s official position is that settings should not need changing, but many users (especially after full migration or when the original Plusnet account is closed) need to switch the outgoing server to one of the *.enmail.co addresses above.
• Port 25 with no encryption sometimes works but is frequently blocked by ISPs and is not recommended.
• If you get certificate warnings with mail.plusnet.enmail.co, try mail.enmail.co instead (it has proper certificates for ports 587 and 465).
• Username must be the full @madasafish.com address for Madasafish (and similar legacy brands). Using the old short username or account+mailbox format often fails after migration.

Incoming (for reference)

• IMAP: imap.plus.net or mail.plus.net (or mail.madasafish.com), port 993, SSL/TLS
• POP3: same servers, port 995, SSL/TLS

These settings are based on Plusnet’s official migration guidance for Madasafish accounts plus widespread successful reports from the Plusnet Community after transfer to Greenby. If they still don’t work, log into the Greenby portal (using your old Plusnet credentials) and check/reset the mailbox password there, or contact Greenby support.
