Sorry, @plusnettony I haven't checked for a few days as tihngs had been working so well, but now we really are back to square one.
Webmail isn't working at all. Gets stuck trying to load the Inbox until error message "IMAP server shut down by signal".
And via Outlook 365 synchronisinjg subscribed folders which normally takes two or three seconds is today taking nine minutes minimum!
In every details, it's precisely the problem we had (before you seemed to have fixed it).

@plusnettony Also, when I logged out again, it was far from instant, it was 'refreshing' for at least 30 seconds.

What is going on at Plusnet Towers?
Today all my IMAP email for the last 12 months had disappeared. I can now see one of my F9 email accounts has repopulated but the older account remains empty of everthing received before 1pm today.
I am guessing you may be transferring me across to Greenby today, in which case a quick email notification would have been welcomed to keep the blood pressure down?![]()
Or is there something else causing this, it is not up to the historical high service level that has kept me loyal to Plusnet all these years?

Email brand?
It is sluggish, but it is responding. My Outlook client is accessing 7 Plus.com mail boxes concurrently; they are a little slow, but they are neither timing out nor giving rise to error events.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Hi Townman.
In my case it is imap.force9.net (port 993) that has lost all emails prior to 1 pm today. They are not shown in Thunderbird client or webmail so it does look like a force9 issue doesn't it?
The other email adress I have is also F9 and has now corrected itself after initially losing all old mail.
I just tried to ping the imap and got this response
peter@peter-Inspiron-5749:~$ ping imap.force9.net
PING mail.force9.enmail.co (91.204.208.196) 56(84) bytes of data.
Note the typo in second line (not mine!)
Could that be the problem, i.e. in the DNS?![]()

@Townman I can confirm there appears to be an IMAP server issue - just tried checking my 'username@username.plus.com' mailbox on the iPad and it reports 'server not responding'.

I've only got a few dozen emails in my .plus.com mailbox but accessing from Thunderbird is VERY slow. In testing today, I've had at least one login failure.

Still massively slow for me with my account.plus.com account on Outlook365 - and a new error message on Webmail: "Connection to storage server failed".

IMAP, I'm guessing, @MisterW ? I have my accounts on the laptop set to POP3, But I have noticed recently when downloading them, the system appears to 'look twice', although I only get one copy.

I'm getting Server Error: AUTHENTICATION PLAIN or something similar now (message doesn't stay on the screen long enough to copy properly). Webmail does at least show just the Inbox and unread message count in the sidebar, but no other folders and definitely no emails.

Yup, I'm all IMAP now!. I used to use POP on my desktop but I saw the light a few years ago
