Good afternoon. I am unable to send or forward e mails from my account - <redacted> - or my elderly MiL's account - <redacted>.

I get the same error on requests to send new or forward existing mails - SMTP Error(550). Failed to set sender. (5.7.1 Unknown sender).

I'd be grateful if someone can help resolve these issues on both accounts.

Task <redacted>.f9.co.uk - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC78) : 'Cannot send the message. Verify the email address in your account properties. The server responded: 550 <redacted>.f9.co.uk> sender domain rejected (blacklisted by local policy)'

 

Can you help me out here? Can't send emails over SMTP..

Hi there @drtodd 

Thanks for coming back to the community. 

Do you get this error message with every email you try and send? Could you try sending a test one to your own email, to see if the same happens? 

Have you tried running a virus/malware scan on your device and updating your password?

Hi there, every time I try to send an email it's being rejected with this, indeed I have a test email in my outbox for the last number of days to keep an eye on the problem but seems like I need your help to resolve now.

No problems with virus or password.

I'm having same problem, can't send any emails from one address only namely b**@binningfamily.co.uk. I'd appreciate some assistance. Thanks.

Has your email account migrated to Greenby ? and if so is the email address in question defined as a mailbox ( or an alias ) ? 

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

You mean you've received no email about migration or you've checked by trying to login to www,greenby.com using your Plusnet username & password ?

Just to confirm, you can send email from other mailboxes on the account ?

Not received any emails about it. I can send and receive mail on other mailboxes. But it is my main address that us affected.

What error do you get when trying to send ?

If your email client isnt very forthcoming with the actual error, then try the smtp diagnostic command from the information here https://community.plus.net/t5/Email/Diagnosing-email-server-connectivity-issues-the-guide/m-p/200795...
