Re: Archived mailbox? Request for it to be unarchived here! (Part 2)

Hey @jct

I have got this raised for you, and they should be unarchived within 5 working days

Heya @GEDNA

I have also raised the request for you, and since they were archived due to inactivity, I can see the oldest email dates back to July, so there might not be a backup. Once I have an update, I will let you know.

*You have also received an email, please ignore it was meant to be an internal note*

Hey @MarshTQ

I have just had an update back, and unfortunately, there are no snapshots/backups available to restore the mailbox, I am afraid.

I am finding that the deleted folder is not showing even if you tick the boxes and add to folders. As such it's increasing teh mailbox size close to limits.

What's going on please?

Not showing where?

Ticking what where?

Was this all working before?

Can you see the sent items folder?

Is there more than one deleted items folder?  Examine the folders on the server using manage folders within the webmail interface - use the settings cog bottom left.

Re: Archived mailbox? Request for it to be unarchived here! (Part 2)

I am using webmail and that is what I am referring too. Thanks.

I have sed the cog, I have clicked the "inbox" and it's the only folder showing to click, although at 7am all my folders were showing, but it does not show all the time.

Not showing where? on the left hand side of webmail.

Ticking what where? Through the lower left "cog" and folder options

Was this all working before? yes, it showed at 7am this morning and then disappeared ago. It's now working very rarely.

Can you see the sent items folder? No, like the deleted folder, it's gone an those I used the cog and ticked to show, also stopped.

Is there more than one deleted items folder?  Examine the folders on the server using manage folders within the webmail interface - use the settings cog bottom left. - That's what i am refereeing to via webmail.

Thanks

OK if you are looking using webmail, there is no ambiguity - the folders are not there.

@Marsh - This needs to go back to NetOps - can you facilitate please?

Re: Archived mailbox? Request for it to be unarchived here! (Part 2)

Hi @OldMill4

Upon looking through your account, I am unable to find any correspondance to suggest your emails have been archived. Please find below some options to help you out.

  • Delete some email - The customer's emails have exceeded 1GB across all of their mailboxes. The email that they've received (which can also be seen in Workplace), lists the ones which are using the most storage. They just need to log into the respective mailbox(es) in Webmail and delete any emails that are no longer needed.
  • Delete any unused mailboxes - The customer may have some mailboxes that they no longer use and forgot they had. This will also delete all mail associated with the mailbox. It will also delete any associated aliases/diverts and cannot be undone. The customer must explicitly state that they are happy for you to do this.
  • Use a different email provider - If the customer finds that 1GB is insufficient for their email needs, they may be best signing up with a specialist email provider (e.g. Gmail).

Should  you have any further queries then please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Thanks

Lee

@lahbrannan1

Archiving due to no access for 90 days leaves no footprints for you to find.

Re: Archived mailbox? Request for it to be unarchived here! (Part 2)

Dear Sir/Madam,
Regarding unarchive of mailbox ste...
...
I haven't heard anything back yet regarding the un-archiving of my mailbox and I'm deeply concerned that it will have been deleted.
Unfortunately, I don't have access to a PC or laptop otherwise I would be more than happy to download my messages and store them offline.
I would be more than happy to pay for additional storage if and when this becomes an option.

Please investigate and advise.

Regards,

Steve Noon.
