Another unable to get email address!

A friend of mine has joined PN and was given the email address username@plusdsl.net which sounds odd to me. But she has tried setting everything up but it keeps saying the user is not known and does not have an account. She has asked support about this and they have just told her to follow instructions on website....................... which she has done .....twice.
I notice that a couple of other people are having similar problems.

Your friend's email address is probably username@username.plus.com

Actually username@plusdsl.net isn't the email it is the router login name.
The email will probably be of the form firstname@username.plus.com

Thanks for that - I did not feel it was correct and have given her this information now so hope she can now get it set up!
But some person in Customer Support told her to use the one she was trying!!
