554 Message rejected - reported as SPAM

Hello Folks,

Happy New Year to you all.

Another year, another SPAM issue.

Yet again emails from our address are experiencing "bounces"!  There are various messages saying that the email is being rejected but by far the majority are ones being sent to BTinternt.

Some are getting through, even to BTinternet ones.

How the hell do we get them reconised as legitimate emails being sent to people who actually want to recieve them?

We send as BCC to comply with privacy for our dancers/pupils, although quite have a few have exchanged email addresses & even other contact details.

I understand that there are bad people out there who like to bombard the world with their nasty messages, but we're not one of them!

Welcome back to the Community!

I'm sorry to hear about the problem you're having with some of your emails being flagged as spam, and I can absolutely appreciate how frustrating this must be.

You've mentioned that some of the emails do go through; is it a case of when you keep trying these will eventually send, or does it just seem that sometimes these will go through to some email accounts and not others?

Have you been able to email the accounts which are being flagged as spam in the past without any issues?

Yes it is very frustrating, especially as almost all the recipients have added us as a "safe Sender/Domain"  in their options. It is also annoying for them as much as it is for us that the mail doesn't even appear in their "Junk" mail folder.

I have been able to send to individuals but which then do end up in their "Junk" folder. It is a real pain going through the bounced mail items trying to find the email address and then having the palava of creating the email just to go to a single addrress.

Yes, in the past the Distribution list has worked and it had also failed. I'm not sure when or how the systems change to sudenly decide that a sending email address is now suspect when it didn't used to be.

Thanks @Lordwotsit, have you noticed any providers in particular being affected here bar BT, or does it seem to be fairly universal that they're blocked / sent to junk?
