community registration

I don't want to start complaining as soon as I get here but...
When I registered I got the message: "password error" in red lettering, saying a password must be 8 characters. I hadn't made a mistake; it didn't mention the limit (I don't think) before I chose my password. I tried to go back to check again but I can't see it now I'm registered.

OK, it's not a serious error, just a bit unfriendly and unwelcoming. It just needs the wording changed to mention the rules regarding choice of password.
I think there was a typo too, a superfluous 'a' word but I can't check.

Re: community registration

Thanks for the comments. You're right it should state what the password restrictions are beforehand. I'll get that seen to.
I couldn't find the typo you mentioned though... where do your remember seeing it?

Your username can be between 1 and 16 characters in length, and contain letters and/or numbers. Your password must be at least 8 characters in length.
