Re: Images

My fault, @Protech  - I shall attempt to get it 'unfixed'.

So what is the point of the "community management team" being employed then ?

It's not like any of them keep on top of things here, look at the dates of their last posts and last visits -

Try doing as @Townman  suggests and get a moderator to un-FIXED this topic

Re: Images

@outcast

To be fair I have looked through this thread and can't see any mods that have tagged.

The best way to get our attention is via the Report option rather than an individual tag anyway.

Moderating images in this way is new to us as well and it isn't always possible to be on top of them along with dealing with reports and generally keeping tabs on the fora as a whole.

Remembrr, we do this voluntarily and work, home and health commitments can delay things.

@Mav  well if you want something to do, in  this topic I used "Report to moderator" and tagged two moderators and nothing got done, and now the topic is a mess that could do with splitting in to two.

Re: Images

also in this topic about images not being visible, is currently actively been seen by Superusers and Moderators, Reply #62 has been posted for 20 minutes, and the images are still blocked ! - why aren't they flagged as needing attention ?

Re: Images

Come on be reasonable it’s gone 10pm do you really expect round the clock resources to approve images?

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

But isn't that the point, it  IS UNREASONABLE for SUPERUSERS and MODERATORS to do image approval.

Either the task should be automated with AI image recognition, or the BT group should EMPLOY image approval STAFF (24/7) to ensure it gets done quickly and to whatever the legal standard is.

Plusnet are absolving their legal responsibility for 'keeping the children safe' by passing the buck to you volunteers, rather than keeping this legal requirement 'in house' and performed by trained staff member or AI algorithm.

Re: Images

@outcast

Those images have recently been approved.

I have to agree with @Townman that you are asking a but much at this time.

As mentioned above the approval of images is new to us and we are getting used to the tools as well as still dealing with all the other jobs a mod has to do.

It's impossible to give the forum 24/7 consideration but the extra work certainly doesn't warrant staff intervention at this time.

We are doing our best to accommodate the needs of the members but it isn't always possible in the time you percieve.

These fora have always been member-lead since it's inception.

Are you saying that this is only an issue for the Plusnet forum ?,  I was assuming that this must be a problem on all the BT group forums - in which case there is probably enough work for the same 'approval' staff or AI to act on all platforms.

So, I've had posts with images blocked for more than SIX DAYS, with THOUSANDS of views of the yellow triangle, and you are saying that it me that has a time frame perception problem ?

Those viewers will never revisit blocked posts, as the forum update notification flag doesn't get re-triggered when the image eventually gets 'approved' - and therefore posting helpful responses has become a complete waste of time
