Hovering over menu links in IE makes them jump to the right

On the Community site home page, hovering over any of the links in the right-hand menu in IE causes them to jump to the right a bit and stay there even after the pointer has moved away.

Re: Hovering over menu links in IE makes them jump to the right

Bug confirmed.
Only occurs in IE6 (not IE7) and affects most of the links in the right column on all blog pages (including banners). It would appear that the links start off incorrectly offset by 2 pixels to the left and jump back to their correct positions upon being hovered over and then stay there. This is not possible using CSS so it's clearly an IE rendering bug (one of many!). I'll try and work out which one. If that fails I find that throwing a few generic IE css hacks at the problem usually yields good results.

Right so the bug was the Magik Creeping Text bug and it's a classic, juicy, totally weird one!
Fixed by applying the 'holly hack'. IE's kinda fun once you embrace it's lameness....
